Nihon Stay Tracker (“this site”) is operated by Nihon Stay Tracker. This policy explains what happens to information when you use this site.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store or receive any personal information. This site has no user accounts, no contact forms and no advertising, and it does not set cookies.

Information stored on your device

The passport country, past stays and planned trips you enter are saved in your browser’s local storage, so they are still there the next time you open the site on the same device and browser. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

To delete it, use “Clear everything” on the calculator, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Third-party services

Opening this site makes your browser connect to the service below. Like any web server, it receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We have no access to this information.

Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) hosts this site. Cloudflare processes visitors’ IP addresses and other technical data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, for example how many people viewed a page and from which country. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites and does not identify you personally. The dates you enter are never included. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Calendar reminders

If you choose “Google Calendar”, your exit date is sent to Google so it can create the event, and Google’s privacy policy applies. The “Apple / Outlook (.ics)” option creates a file on your device and sends nothing.

This site links to official government pages, such as those of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Services Agency. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
